Hi. I’m Frances Latimer, founder of Open Door Billing LLC.
At Open Door Billing, our mission is to empower mental health professionals by simplifying the credentialing process and getting practices approved by insurance boards for reimbursement. This allows providers to grow their practices while expanding access to mental health services in communities disproportionately affected by healthcare disparities.
One significant hurdle is the lack of mental health professionals who share lived experiences with their clients, be it in race, faith, or cultural background who can accept health insurance. This financial barrier often restricts the growth of these professionals and limits access to vital care.
We also assist Non-Profits with Medicaid paneling, ensuring broader care access for Community-Based Organizations and those in need of their services.
Additionally, we support Non-Emergency Medical Transportation providers with billing and coding, helping them navigate complex reimbursement systems.
As someone with personal experience overcoming a cognitive disability, I also offer mentoring services to help others with cognitive impairments achieve their self-employment goals.
